My client is looking for a strong bookkeeper to join their team and will be reporting to the Director


Grade 12
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in bookkeeping
Good knowledge of Fincon ,and motor,truck industry Oficina and Microsoft Office
Speak/Write English and Afrikaans
Own, reliable transport
Must have high level of competency and be comfortable taking responsibility for tasks
Be proactive, timely and have problem-solving skills
Able to prioritise and manage own time
Have excellent communication skills

Duties include but are not limited to:

Basic Fincon and Oficina Accounting essential
Trial Balance + Balance Sheet, Income Statement
Reviewing and reconciling the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Full Creditors function
Bank Recon / Cashbook
Account adjustments (journals)
VAT recon and VAT201 submissions on eFiling
SARS EMP201 monthly submissions on eFiling
Management Accounts
Admin (filing, insurance etc)
Bank payments (loading and releasing: payroll and creditors
Proven Bookkeeping experience
Computer literate
Team player
Vat advice
Business management
Bookkeeper to balance sheet. FINANCIALS
Management statements
Trial balance.
Full creditor and debtors function, and filing. Attaching invoices to statements
Preparing of creditors reconciliations
Monitoring of debt collection and debtors ageing
Processing of cashbooks and bank reconciliations daily basis
Petty Cash management
Completion of credit application and other forms.
Client/Supplier liaison
Checking supplier purchases, cost prices and selling.
Inventory stock holding. Complete control
Any other tasks that might be required by employer to assist with overall running of the business
Weekly wages, Iq payroll.
Letter writing
Reporting direct to the Director, making Suggestions. Improvement to the companies.
Paying of creditors
Checking stock inventory
Knowledge of the motor truck industry, RMI etc
Knowledge of CSD registrations, tenders etc
UIF, leave forms, payslips,
Insurance, motor accidents etc. control over vehicles. Petrol usage etc
Courier costs control over transport etc
Hours Monday to Friday, including extra hours to complete work on a daily basis
Labour, HR. payroll timekeeping.
Checking on staff and their duties.
Work under pressure. .
Business advice. FINANCIAL advice, testament advise, knowledge of legal matters in a business
